Early M1933 SS Dagger w/ Leather Hanger – (Gottlieb Hammesfahr)

Description Stellar example of an early model 1933 SS dagger as produced by Gottlieb Hammesfahr. The blade is in excellent condition with much cross grain remaining, there is a a layer of dried oil over the blade, this could be cleaned off though I left it alone as I did not want to disturb the frosty blade motto. The reverse is marked near the hilt with the Hammesfahr makers mark. The nickel crossguards are correctly gau marked III, the grip fits the fittings perfectly and tight with only one small chip near the hilt. The grip is wrapped in an original Officer portepee knot. The scabbard it’s debt free and matches the dagger perfectly, the nice addition of the original 3 way leather hanger is an added treat. Fantastic early piece of SS history that was definitely issued and worn!
