1969 Gibson LG-0 Spruce Top Acoustic Guitar – Used

This little LG-0 is a sleeper. For starters, it’s not the typical ’60s LG-0, which came with a molded plastic bridge and a mahogany top. Gibson only offered this spruce top version for a little over a year starting in ’68, and gave it a real rosewood bridge at the same time. The combination gives this one better tone, and the lateral (ladder) bracing gives it that classic LG-1 sound. The other remarkable thing about this LG-0 is the condition, which is about as close to new-old-stock as you’ll find in a 55 year-old guitar. No fret wear, the only pick/finger scratches are to the pickguard, and even the original plush-lined chipboard case shows few signs of handling, and original Gibson hang tags are in the accessory pocket.
